Occoquan Chase

A regatta in Virginia!  Kings Point rowers next head to the Occoquan resevoir in Northern Virginia to compete against mid-Atlantic rowing teams in the Occoquan Chase.  Four KP rowers hail from Northern Virginia and we have an opportunity to show off Southern (well sort of Southern) hospitality.  The team travels to Sandy Point park Saturday for practice on the water and then stay overnight with parents of Greg Trieber, Brook Mueller, Chris Murphy and Frank Osborne and Giuseppe Niosi's grandparents.  Racing starts Sunday after breakfast with sunny but breezy weather predicted.

Navy Day Regatta

Kings Point Rowing next travels to Philadelphia's Schuykill River and the Navy Day Regatta. The Navy Day Regatta was first started to celebrate the U.S. Navy's birthday and soon expanded to include many of the finest rowing schools on the East Coast. Including Navy, Army and host St. Josephs, Kings Point will row against 80 schools and clubs.  If you can come out and watch the rowers, this is a great event. Navy Day Regatta information is posted at:
